Cracks

breaches, chasms, god restores
There is nothing so broken it cannot be repaired by the love of God


I see cracks in the sidewalk.

Where did they come from...can they be repaired?

I see cracks in our souls.

How did they get there...can they be repaired?

Cracks of discouragement.

Cracks of failure.

Cracks of broken dreams.

Cracks of chaos.

Cracks of loved ones lost.

Cracks of betrayal.

Who can touch them...make them whole?

The Father is the glue...The Eternal One is His name.

He is the repairer of the breach...the cross to span the chasm of brokenness.

Like hot tar that fills the crack in the asphalt, so the Lord fills up the cracks in our souls.

Cracks...how did they get there...can they be repaired?

Is there Thanks in your Giving?

The pictures flashed across the tv screen, and my numb eyes roll as I murmur to myself, “Here we go again.” Homeless and emaciated children. Communities without clean water. Animals deserted and dying behind bars of steel.  Their haunted eyes lock with mine; pleading for me to act, desperately seeking assistance.  Irritated, I move onto the next channel as quickly as possible, not ready to be bothered once again by their plight. I settle back into my cozy chair, pull a warm blanket under my chin, and take a long, relaxing sip of my steaming coffee. Life is good on this side of the tv, and I do not lend another thought to what I have witnessed. Reliability- Marker #2 of Authentic Christianity

God is the most reliable person you will ever know- and we should strive to emulate Him! Constant as the sun, reliable as the moon Lamentations 3:22-24 "The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.The Lord is all I have, and so in Him I put my hope."
